Filmed as part of the Benedetti Foundation’s Baroque Sessions, join cellist David Watkin as he explores articulation within Italian Baroque.
David Watkin, the accomplished cellist and conductor, has made significant contributions to the world of classical music. A student of William Pleeth, Watkin served as Principal cellist with prestigious orchestras, including the Philharmonia Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, English Baroque Soloists, and L’Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique.
He was also a founding member of the Eroica Quartet.
Recently, Watkin was appointed as the Head of Strings at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
