November 12–15, 2025 – Białystok, Poland
The VII International Competition for Wind and String Instruments – FINALIS 2025 will take place from November 12 to 15, 2025 in Białystok, Poland, hosted at two prominent venues:
- The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music – Department of Instrumental and Pedagogical Studies, Music Education and Vocal Studies (UMFC) – Branch in Białystok
- The Ignacy Paderewski Music School Complex
Organized by the Pro Musica Foundation, UMFC, and the Ignacy Paderewski Music School Complex, FINALIS 2025 brings together talented young musicians from around the world to compete in three disciplines, including woodwinds — with flute as one of the featured instruments.
Application for Flutists
- Deadline: October 5, 2025 (applications may close earlier if the quota is reached)
- Requirement: Application must be submitted with paid entry fee to be considered complete
- Note: Places are limited, and early registration is recommended
Jury – Woodwind Category (including Flute)
The competition will feature an international jury of distinguished performers and educators, including:
- Kaspar Zehnder – Switzerland (conductor and flutist, known for his work as artistic director of numerous European orchestras and festivals)
- Other members representing leading institutions and orchestras across Europe and beyond
Awards & Special Opportunities for Flutists
In addition to Gold, Silver, and Bronze Prizes based on scoring (Gold: 95–100 points, Silver: 90–94.99, Bronze: 85–89.99), flutists have the chance to win special prizes, including soloist engagements with renowned orchestras:
- Soloist concert with the Opera and Philharmonic Podlaska – European Art Center in Białystok
- Soloist concert with the Municipal Symphonic Band of Seville in the Real Alcázar of Seville
- Soloist concert with the Panevėžys Musical Theatre Orchestra (Lithuania) during the For Music and Childhood festival (spring 2026)
- Soloist concert with the Podkarpacka Philharmonic Orchestra (Rzeszów)
- Soloist concert with the Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra in Łomża
- Soloist concert with the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music Orchestra – UMFC Branch in Białystok
- Soloist concert with the Suwalki Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra
- Soloist engagement at the Winter Orchestra Workshop in Białystok, conducted by Andrea Loss
Instrument Prizes for Young Flutists (Categories A, B, C):
- Buffet Crampon Powell Sonaré 101 Flute – Offset G, Split E, C-foot with case
Additional prizes, including vouchers and music shop credits, will be awarded by competition sponsors.
