Since its inception, the Concours Larrieu has cultivated a rich legacy of fostering young musicians and promoting the flute as a versatile and expressive instrument. The 2024 edition promises to continue this tradition, providing a platform for emerging talents to showcase their skills and artistry.
This year’s competition will be held in the charming town of Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche, France, and is open to flutists of all nationalities, born on or after January 1, 1993. Winners will be awarded significant prizes, including cash awards, concert engagements, and recording opportunities, designed to support their professional careers and provide valuable exposure in the classical music world.
The events are organized in partnership with the Association La Traversière and the Association J-P Rampal, with co-organization by Denis Verroust and Franck Masquelier.
