The Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) is excited to announce the 2024-2025 Chamber Music Performance Competition, featuring categories for strings and winds.
The competition, designed for ensembles where the majority of instruments are wind instruments, including the flute, will be conducted in two rounds: a preliminary round via video submission and a live final round at the MTNA National Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota, from March 15-19, 2025.
Key Dates:
- Registration Opens: November 1, 2024
- Video Submission Deadline: December 4, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time
- Final Round: Live at the MTNA National Conference
Prizes for Wind Ensembles:
- First Place: $3,000
- Second Place: $2,000
- Third Place: $1,000
Eligible participants must be between 18 and 29 years old as of January 1, 2025. Each ensemble must consist of 3 to 6 performers, and no changes in ensemble personnel are allowed after registration.
