Eligibility Criteria
Who Can Be Nominated:
Individuals or ensembles who made significant contributions to the global flute community in 2024 are eligible.
Nominations are open to flutists, educators, ensembles, composers, flutemakers, and advocates in the flute world.
Self-nominations are allowed.

Nominations must be submitted no later than 11:59 pm EST December 31, 2024. Late submissions will not be considered.

Recognizes an outstanding flute educator who inspires and empowers students through innovative teaching methods, dedication, and a significant impact on their musical growth and achievements. - Performer of the Year
Celebrates a flutist who has demonstrated extraordinary artistic excellence and captivated audiences with remarkable performances throughout the year. - Emerging Artist of the Year
Honors a rising star in the flute community who has shown exceptional talent, promise, and notable achievements early in their career. - Innovator of the Year
Acknowledges an individual whose groundbreaking ideas, projects, or contributions have advanced the flute world in creative and transformative ways. - Ensemble of the Year
Recognizes a flute ensemble that has demonstrated exceptional artistry, collaboration, and innovation in their performances and contributions to the flute repertoire. - Lifetime Achievement Award
Celebrates a flutist, educator, or contributor whose career has left a lasting impact on the global flute community through decades of exceptional work, artistry, and dedication. - Composer of the Year

Selection Process
Initial Review by Flute Almanac Team:
All nominations will undergo a preliminary review by the Flute Almanac team to ensure completeness and relevance.
Judges will evaluate only the top candidates selected from this process.
Judging Panel:
Judges will consist of experts from various countries, making the selection process truly global.
To avoid undue pressure, the identities of the judges will remain confidential until the Awards Ceremony on January 10, 2025.
Evaluation Criteria:
Each category has specific criteria, including impact, innovation, artistry, and community contributions.
Final Decision:
The judges’ decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
