Boston Conservatory at Berklee High School Flute Competition
In Partnership With Flutistry and the Boston Flute Festival
Boston Conservatory is excited to announce a solo flute competition for prospective undergraduate students, offering a grand prize of a full-tuition scholarship for the entire duration of their program.
Eligibility: High School Seniors
Grand Prize: Full-tuition scholarship to Boston Conservatory
Additional Prizes: To be announced by Flutistry
Repertoire:
First Round:
- W. A. Mozart’s Concerto No. 1 in G Major, K313 (selected sections)
- “Bostonian Scenes” by Valerie Coleman
Finals:
- Candidate’s choice of repertoire for flute and piano (8–12 minutes)
- “Bostonian Scenes” by Valerie Coleman
Rules:
- Candidates must be eligible for undergraduate enrollment in Fall 2025.
- Submit an online application and pre-screen video by September 1, 2024.
- First-round results announced by September 15, 2024; finalists compete live at the Boston Flute Festival on October 12, 2024.
