The 14th Domenico Cimarosa International Flute Competition will take place from April 9-11, 2025 in Aversa, Italy, the birthplace of the renowned Italian composer Domenico Cimarosa. This biennial event offers flutists a global stage to showcase their talents in a city rich with musical history.

Competition Rounds

Qualifying Round (Solo Flute)

Date: April 9, 2025

Repertoire: Works by Mercadante and Telemann

Semifinals (Flute and Piano)

Date: April 10, 2025

Repertoire: Works by Sancan, Dutilleux, Martin, and solo flute pieces by Debussy, Ibert, Honegger, and Varèse

Final Round (Flute and Piano)

Date: April 11, 2025

Repertoire: Concertos by Romberg or Mercadante

Prizes

First Prize: €1,500, trophy, and diploma

Second Prize: €1,000, trophy, and diploma

Third Prize: €500, trophy, and diploma

The first-place winner will also perform in a concert at the Chiesa Monumentale di S. Francesco on April 11, 2025.
