In an interview with flutist and educator Leone Buyse, the life and work of French composer and pianist Cécile Chaminade are explored. Born in Paris in 1857, Chaminade overcame social conventions to pursue composition, publishing over 400 works. Notably, she composed the Concertino Op. 107 for the annual Concours at the Paris Conservatory. This piece continues to be performed frequently and holds pedagogical and stylistic significance in the flute world.
