The 5th Cahit Koparal International Flute Competition will take place in the beautiful coastal city of Marmaris, Türkiye, from September 8 to 16, 2026. Organized by MAKSAD – Marmaris Kültür ve Sanat Derneği, the competition continues its mission of supporting young flutists and honoring the artistic legacy of Cahit Koparal, an influential figure in Turkish flute pedagogy.
Two Age Categories
For the 2026 edition, the competition will be held in two age categories:
Under 18
Ages 18–28
This structure allows both emerging young talents and advanced young professionals to participate and be evaluated within their peer group.
Prizes
The competition offers a total prize fund of €6,500, awarded across the two categories, along with the artistic visibility and professional recognition that come with participation in an established international event.
Venue
All rounds will be held at the Armutalan Culture Centre in Marmaris, a vibrant cultural hub surrounded by the natural beauty of the Aegean coast—an inspiring setting for artistic exchange and musical excellence.
