The Kobe International Flute Competition has announced a major highlight of its 2025 edition: the Special Night Gala Concert, featuring all members of the jury in performance. Tickets for the event officially went on sale today.
The gala concert will take place on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Kobe Bunka Hall, Main Hall.
The concert will feature jury members of the 11th Kobe International Flute Competition, including Hideaki Sakai, Silvia Careddu, Michael Faust, Renate Greiss-Armin, Timothy Hutchins, Andrea Lieberknecht, Andrea Oliva, Piao Meixiang, and Yumiko Sakuma.
Hiroaki Kanda, Chair of the 11th KIFC Management Committee and Principal Flutist of the NHK Symphony Orchestra, will also appear as a guest performer.
In a unique and prestigious program, each jury member will perform solo and duo works of their own choosing, offering audiences a rare opportunity to hear some of the world’s foremost flutists on a single stage.
The program will be announced at a later date. However, given the caliber of the artists involved, the concert promises to be an extraordinary celebration of flute performance at the highest level.
Held every four years, the Kobe International Flute Competition is one of the most esteemed events in the global flute community. The Special Night Gala Concert brings together its distinguished jury – not just as adjudicators, but as artists – making this a landmark event in the 2025 international flute calendar.
Tickets are now available through official outlets. Flutists, students, and music lovers planning to attend the competition or visit Kobe in September are encouraged to secure their seats early.
