The international flute community turns its attention to Ukraine this spring as Kyiv Flute Days 2026 prepares to welcome young performers, distinguished artists, and leading pedagogues for a major celebration of the instrument.
With applications open until April 5, the festival’s Young Performers Competition is entering its final stage of registration, offering emerging flutists an opportunity to perform, compete, and connect within a vibrant international artistic environment.

The organizers have officially announced an exceptional jury panel, bringing together performers, scholars, and orchestral leaders whose collective expertise reflects both Ukrainian excellence and international reach:
Stanislav Zubytskyi (Italy/Ukraine) — concert artist, teacher, composer
Andriy Karpyak (Ukraine) — Doctor of Arts, Professor, Head of the Department of Wind and Percussion Instruments at the Lviv National Music Academy; orchestral artist of the Lviv National Opera
Volodymyr Kachmarchyk (Ukraine) — Doctor of Arts, Professor at the National Music Academy of Ukraine
Hanna Kuzmenko (Ukraine) — methodologist, Head of the Orchestral Wind and Percussion Department at the Glière Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music; artist of the National Academic Wind Orchestra of Ukraine
Anton Kushnir (Ukraine) — PhD, Acting Professor, Dean of the Orchestral Faculty at the National Music Academy of Ukraine; flutist of the National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra; Artistic Director of Kyiv Flute Days
