Flutists of all ages, get ready for an unforgettable summer experience! The MountainWest FluteFest, a premier flute camp in Salt Lake City, Utah, returns in 2025 with four days of music, learning, and adventure. Designed for students in Grades 1-12, this exciting camp runs June 25-28, 2025, and promises an immersive musical experience with top-tier instruction, engaging group activities, and a performance at one of Utah’s most beloved attractions.
FluteFest at a Glance
MountainWest FluteFest is structured to maximize each student’s growth, with tailored classes based on age and playing ability. Students will participate in:
Masterclasses in small groups of 3-5 students
Flute technique classes focused on skill-building
Group enrichment classes for creative exploration
Flute choir sessions, divided by age:
- Grades 1-3
- Grades 4-6
- Grades 7-9
- Grades 10-12
With Utah’s top flute educators, inspiring professional recitals, and daily student honor recitals, every participant will have the opportunity to develop their skills in an encouraging environment.
A Special Guest Clinician: Kathy Blocki
This year’s festival welcomes an extraordinary guest artist: Kathy Blocki, the 2024 Teacher of the Year Global Flute Excellence Award Winner! Known for her innovative teaching methods and Flute Zoo books, Blocki will work with each age group daily. Her engaging approach ensures that students not only improve technically but also have fun making music together.
An Unforgettable Flute Choir Performance at Hogle Zoo!
One of the most unique aspects of MountainWest FluteFest 2025 is the grand finale performance at Utah’s renowned Hogle Zoo. Inspired by Kathy Blocki’s Flute Zoo books, students will prepare a 45-minute flute choir concert, bringing music to life among the zoo’s incredible animal exhibits.

Secure your spot now! Early Bird registration is available until March 15, 2025:
- Grades 1-3: $125
- Grades 4-12: $275
After March 15th, regular pricing applies:
- Grades 1-3: $150
- Grades 4-12: $300
The final registration deadline is May 5, 2025. To ensure proper group placement, students must submit a 1-minute video link of their flute playing with their registration.
