The Moyse International Flute Competition returns for its 3rd edition, taking place from June 26 – July 1, 2025, at New Bulgarian University (NBU) in Sofia, Bulgaria. Established in honor of the legendary Marcel Moyse, this competition has quickly gained recognition as a prestigious event for flutists worldwide, offering prizes totaling up to €10,000.

A Competition Inspired by Marcel Moyse
The Moyse International Flute Competition is dedicated to preserving and promoting the musical legacy of Marcel Moyse, one of the greatest flute pedagogues in history. The event provides a high-caliber platform for flutists of all levels, celebrating both technical mastery and musical expression.
This year’s competition will feature five categories, catering to different age groups and experience levels.
Competition Categories & Selection Process
- Category B (Online Selection) – Sir James Galway and Lady Jeanne Galway will personally evaluate video submissions.
- Other Categories (Live Competition in Sofia) – Judged by an illustrious international jury.
