The prestigious Severino Gazzelloni International Flute Competition returns for its 12th edition, set to take place from September 22 to 27, 2025 in Naples, Italy. Organized by the Associazione Flautisti Italiani (AFI) – La Casa dei Flautisti – under the artistic direction of Salvatore Lombardi, this competition continues to honor the legacy of the legendary flutist Severino Gazzelloni.
Recognized as one of the most important flute competitions in Europe, the Gazzelloni Competition draws talented flutists from around the world. This year, Category C, which includes a final round with orchestra, will be featured.
The application deadline is set for April 30, 2025, giving flutists ample time to prepare for this exciting opportunity.
The total prize pool exceeds 25,000 euros, and includes:
