The Upper Midwest Flute Association (UMFA) will host Flute Fest 2025 on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Plymouth Congregational Church in Minneapolis, MN. - Young Artist Competition – Open to advanced flutists competing for recognition at a high level.
- Laudie Porter Memorial Scholarship Competition – Designed for junior high and high school students, offering scholarship awards based on performance.
These competitions serve as a platform for young musicians to gain experience, receive feedback, and engage with the flute community.
Educational Sessions and Performance Opportunities
Throughout the festival, attendees can participate in masterclasses, workshops, and discussions that cover a variety of topics, including:
- Flute technique and performance skills
- Flute history and notable figures
