The University of Pamplona (Colombia) proudly celebrates the 10th edition of its International Flute Seminar, taking place December 1–5, 2025. What began as a regional initiative has evolved into one of Latin America’s most respected annual flute gatherings, bringing together distinguished artists, teachers, and students for five days of intensive musical exchange.
This year’s special anniversary edition features an exceptional lineup of international guest artists representing the United States, Turkey, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela. Their combined expertise spans orchestral performance, contemporary techniques, pedagogy, chamber music, and Latin American repertoire—making this edition one of the most diverse and inspiring in the seminar’s history.

III National Flute Competition
Alongside the seminar, the University of Pamplona hosts the III National Flute Competition, open to young Colombian flutists seeking to test their skills at a national level.
Repertoire Requirements
- Elimination Round: A solo flute work or a concert study
- Final Round: Fantasía Brillante on themes from Carmen by François Borne
The competition continues to grow each year as an important platform for emerging Colombian artists, offering visibility, experience, and artistic development.
